Eneco's is currently operating 5 offshore wind farms, Prinses Amaliawindpark, Luchterduinen, Blauwwind, Two Towers, Crosswind. This will grow with the completion of Ecowende (HKW6) next year. Eneco is also shareholder in the Belgian offshore windfarms Norther and Seamade. Further growth of our portfolio will come from our development of new offshore wind farms in Northwest Europe. Eneco Wind Operations Offshore (EWOO) makes an important contribution to continuous improvement based on its knowledge and experience.

What you’ll do

You will start focussing on operational readiness to ensure processes, service agreements and management system are fully implemented when the first out of 52 wind turbines will start producing power before the summer of 2026. In the operational phase you will be responsible for improving the performance and costs of the operational wind turbines while maintaining an acceptable risk profile. Your result areas are operational performance (availability & production), costs and risk management (asset integrity). You contribute to the Asset Management strategy to facilitate and guarantee long-term value creation.

Is this about you?

You can quickly master your new environments and situations. You have focus, attention to detail and execution power. This allows you to achieve the intended objectives in an ever-changing environment. You are a technical O&M expert and focused on continuous improvement.

Futhermore:

  • Master degree or equivalent level of education, general engineering or technical qualification;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in large industrial projects, preferably renewable energy, offshore oil and gas, or similar complex industries;
  • Strong team player, collaborating and connecting people;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing English and Dutch;
  • Proven experience within contract management;
  • Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to ‘get things done’.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Safe operation of the wind turbines, contribute to pro-active safety culture.
  • Allocation of downtime related to availability warranty and weekly alignment with the service provider.
  • Perform statistical trend analysis of the production disruption causes as well as the maintenance and inspection activities. 
  • Weekly and monthly reporting related to production, WTG availability and reliability, maintenance progress and review of the availability imbalance (PPA). 
  • Support contract management and commercial management of the project.
  • Initiate annual owner’s inspections and follow-up.
  • Validation of performed services of the maintenance invoices.
  • Risk management according to set frameworks.

This is where you’ll work

Eneco Wind Operations Offshore (EWOO) has an O&M hub in IJmuiden (NL) from where also Ecowende will be operated after completion. EWOO consists of WTG and BOP teams, a team of Asset analysts and specialists in the field of HSE and Ecology. The majority of the team is based in our O&M hub in IJmuiden overlooking the North Sea. Other team members are based in our satellite office in Ostend and Eneco HQ in Rotterdam. You will report directly to the EWOO operations manager for Ecowende and become part of a highly motivated team with a passion for offshore wind.
