When you use our website for your application, personal data may be collected by us in various ways:

  • Online application: you can apply online via our online application form. In this context, we ask you for some personal data in order to process and assess your application.
  • Job alerts and sharing by email: to stay informed of new vacancies you can set a job alert. It is also possible to share a vacancy by e-mail or save it as a favorite. 
  • Use of website: when surfing our website, technical information about your device (for example the IP address) and about your visiting behavior on the website is obtained.

2. What personal data do we process?

  • Name and contact details: first and last name, initials, title, address details, email address, telephone number;
  • Demographic data: gender, date of birth, nationality;
  • Curriculum Vitae: information about education, training, work experience; hobbies, Linked-In profile. Eneco may also process special personal data (such as a passport photo, your political views, religious beliefs) or criminal data if you include it in your CV or Linked-In profile, for example. Eneco does not ask for this information;
  • Assessment of suitability as a candidate: data on which we assess you as an applicant, such as an outcome assessment;
  • Communication data: technical data of the equipment you use to visit the website (for example from your smartphone/laptop/tablet or a kiosk from the store), such as IP address, MAC address, browser used, language settings, operating system, service provider, device type;
  • Technical data: your surfing behavior on the website, including mouse and click behavior and the duration and time of your visit to our website.

3. For what purposes do we process your personal data?

We use the personal data mentioned in Chapter 2 for the following purposes:

  • To offer you the opportunity to apply online for a vacancy and use the functionalities of our website;
  • To process your online application and communicate with you about the progress of the procedure;

The personal data mentioned in Chapter 2 are processed by us for the purposes stated in Chapter 3 (under a to me) because this is necessary for the pursuit of our legitimate interests in order to to assess your suitability as a candidate.

The personal data referred to in Chapter 2 are processed by us for the purposes stated in Chapter 3 (under f) on the basis of the consent you have obtained. Prior to processing your personal data, we ask permission to send these messages in which certain of your personal data are processed. You have the right to unsubscribe from receiving this information at any time.

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small file that is sent by an internet server and that is stored on your computer.

Cookies by themselves cannot identify an individual user, but only the computer or mobile device you are using through a randomly generated identifier.

6. Retention periods 

Application data

Your application data will be kept for a maximum of 4 weeks after the end of the application procedure, unless we have your permission to keep your data for a longer period in order to be able to contact you for future suitable vacancies. In this case, we will store your application data for a maximum of one year.  

You can also always withdraw this permission.  

Job alert

We store your data that is required to send a job alert until you unsubscribe. 

7. Provision to third parties

The data you provide will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the processing of your application or requested services.  

Furthermore, we will not provide the information you provide to other parties if you have not given permission for this, unless this is legally required or permitted.  

No personal data is currently processed outside the European Economic Community. If this may be the case in the future, we will ensure appropriate measures and safeguards are in place.

8. Third-party websites

You can share the vacancies, articles and videos that you view on our website via social media using buttons. Social media cookies are used for the functioning of these buttons, so that the social media parties recognize you when you want to share an article or video. The administrators of these social media can collect your personal data. This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites that are connected to our website by means of buttons or links.
