Why choose Eneco?

Eneco is looking for an Offshore Wind Technician to strengthen our team. As one of the largest players in the Dutch wind energy industry, we are uniquely positioned to take a leading role in the energy transition — and you can be a key ambassador in that journey.

What you’ll do

Together with your colleagues from Eneco and Vestas, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on our offshore wind turbines. Specifically, you will work on our Princess Amalia Wind Farm, which consists of 60 Vestas V80 turbines.

You will be part of the service teams that carry out maintenance on our wind turbines. While the work is led by our contractor Vestas, you will remain closely involved with Eneco and other activities on our wind farms.

Is this about you?

The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, is looking for a challenging role in a unique environment, and possesses the right skills to work offshore. You are flexible, not afraid of heights, and comfortable at sea. You're also a quick learner and a team player.

To be considered for this role, you meet the following requirements:

  • Preferably a completed technical MBO level 3 or 4 education in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Experience in performing maintenance and repair on machinery and/or electrical systems

  • In possession of a valid VCA certificate (or willing to obtain one)

  • A valid driver’s license (B category)

  • Good physical condition, no fear of heights, and comfortable working at sea

You’ll be responsible for

  • Creating a safe working environment for yourself and others. At Eneco, safety always comes first — we work safely, or not at all.

  • Performing maintenance and repair tasks on offshore wind turbines

  • Conducting technical inspections and reporting any issues

  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems

  • Assisting colleagues with tasks on the offshore site

This is where you’ll work

You will be working as part of one of our service teams, which include both Eneco technicians (including yourself) and technicians from Vestas. The teams are led daily by Vestas. Your work will take place offshore on our wind turbines, departing daily from our service base in IJmuiden — unless weather conditions make this impossible (for example, during high waves). On such days, you may follow training, prepare your work, or be on standby from home. At the end of the day, you’ll return to IJmuiden and head home.
