MVS Senior Engineer

As an MVS Engineer, your focus will be on a sustainable and stable platform that perfectly matches the needs of Eneco and our partners. You will be professionally and technically responsible for the development and management of the MVS application (Oracle/OutSystems/Redwood). Together with your team, you will ensure that our systems remain future-proof.

As our new MVS Engineer, you have the knowledge, experience, and skills to tackle complex IT challenges and elevate teams. You combine in-depth technical knowledge of the MVS application (Oracle/OutSystems/Redwood) and its infrastructure with strong communication and collaboration skills. You maintain an overview, work purposefully to ensure quality, and inspire teams by leading by example.

1. Technical Expertise:
• Deep functional and technical knowledge of the MVS application (Oracle/ OutSystems/Redwood) and its associated technical infrastructure. ​
• Technical Oracle DBA experience specially on the topics: Performance Optimization, Editioning & Security
2. Experience:
• Proven experience working in multidimensional teams, specifically in the MVS domain. ​
• Familiarity with processes, methods, and structures within business and IT organizations. ​
3. Skills:
• Ability to perform tasks of a DevOps Engineer as a hands-on leader. ​
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
• Capability to maintain an overview and identify connections (helicopter view). ​

As an MVS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of our technical solutions within the IT landscape. Your key responsibilities include:

Technical Architecture:

• Developing technical designs and contributing to architectural challenges with Domain and Data Architects.
• Collaborating with DevOps Engineers on subsystems, interfaces, and integrations, and establishing management standards and guidelines.
• Promoting collaboration between internal teams and external partners.

Professional Management:

• Managing DevOps Engineers for technical development and management, for both Oracle and OutSystems applications.
• Coordinating technical tasks and involving external partners where necessary.

Development and Platform Management:

• Defining and delivering backlog items together with the DevOps team.
• Managing development platforms and tools, and integrating applications into the IT landscape.
• Executing and coordinating automated tests, including performance and security tests.

Deployment and Management:

• Controlled deployment of new functionalities into production and improvement of CI/CD processes.
• Monitoring applications, resolving incidents, and implementing improvement actions.
• Validating and executing change requests, including technical impact analyses and improvements.

Communication:

• Translating technical issues into understandable business terms.
• Reporting improvements and results to stakeholders.

You'll be working in the Enterprise IT Solutions department within the TECH organization. The Enterprise IT Solutions team is divided into several teams, and you'll be part of the Delivery & Billing B2C team.
