For this role it's important to have strong hands-on experience with OT and cloud environments and you are comfortable jumping into tech (hands-on) when needed. Your goal is to bring structure and strategy to Mission Critical platforms.

  • At least 7 years of experience in Operational Technology, with over 2 years in engineering leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex OT products in Mission Critical environments.
  • Experience with OT stacks (SCADA, RTU, etc.), Cloud (IaaS, PaaS), engineering practices (CI/CD, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, you're equally comfortable discussing architecture with developers and trade-offs with product leaders.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect tech execution to business value.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Leading an agile engineering team (10 FTE) working on connecting and steering wind (off-and onshore), solar, batteries, heat and gas-powered Assets.
  • Driving technical excellence across OT and Cloud platforms.
  • Bridging the Mission Critical IT with OT.
  • Shaping the technical roadmap, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and security of our digital products.
  • Working closely with Product Managers to assess feasibility, suggest technical trade-offs, and align delivery to business priorities.
  • Facilitating effective team rituals (stand-ups, reviews, retros) to ensure strong delivery and team health.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and coaching engineers across specialisms.
  • Encouraging a strong engineering culture built on best practices, experimentation and high code quality.
  • Set technical direction while balancing immediate needs with long-term vision.
