What you’ll do

As a Full-Stack Developer, you’ll work on the backend and integrations for our trading dashboard and continuously improve our planning and portfolio optimization tools within the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) domain. You will work with both .NET/C# and Python across systems that integrate market data, asset behaviour, and planning logic. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team, delivering scalable software using technologies such as .NET/C#, Python, Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, and optionally Vue.js. 

Is this about you?

  • Proven experience with both .NET/C# and Python (must-have) 
  • Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes) 
  • Proficient with database development (SQL and NoSQL) 
  • Understanding of cloud-native development (Azure preferred) 
  • Experience designing & building scalable and fault-tolerant mission-critical services using event-driven architecture and well-known design patterns 
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, GitOps and microservices 
  • Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English 
  • Strong backend development background and system integration skills 
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, agile team

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks
  • Knowledge of optimization or energy systems
  • Familiarity with Kafka and real-time data pipelines 

You’ll be responsible for

  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs in .NET/C# 
  • Integrate and extend Python-based optimization and planning tools 
  • Contribute to frontend feature development (preferably with Vue.js) 
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of solutions 
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and product managers 
  • Stay current with modern development practices

You’ll join the VPP Planning team, contributing to energy market optimization and helping define how digital platforms shape Eneco’s sustainable future.

Gross annual salary between €80.000 and €110.000
