What you’ll do

As Investment Associate you are part of the Venturing Team of Eneco. We are responsible for scouting and selection of promising European start-ups and scale-ups, for execution of the transaction, the portfolio management of our investments and facilitating partnerships with the Eneco Business Units.

Is this about you?

  • Academic (WO) level and 2 – 5 years of work experience, preferably in (corporate) finance, M&A, consulting, start-up or business development, including financial modelling / analysis;
  • Preferably experience in or affinity with sustainable energy, start-ups / scale-ups or innovative business models;
  • Enthusiastic professional, self-starting and hands-on attitude, practical approach to challenges, strong team spirit and clear sense of responsibility;
  • Proficiency in using AI tools

You’ll be responsible for

As Investment Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Scout for and analyse interesting startups and markets;
  • Driving transaction processes, including the execution of due diligence, valuation and preparation of investment proposals;
  • Evaluating of business plans on financial, strategic and commercial basis;
  • Working on various portfolio topics, including shareholder and board decisions, long-term strategic plans and forecasts, reporting and monitoring of performance;
  • Build and maintain a network in the Venture Capital community;
  • Facilitate cooperation between our portfolio companies and other Eneco business units to create value for both Eneco as our portfolio companies, including building relationships with both founders and colleagues at Eneco

This is where you’ll work

Eneco Ventures is responsible for scouting, selecting and investing in European start-ups and scale-ups, assisting these companies to reach their full growth potential and facilitating strategic and commercial synergies between these companies and Eneco. The Venturing Team is part of the business unit Strategic Growth & Transformation, which is responsible for the Eneco Strategy  and aims to realise value via M&A, Venturing and new business models.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €71,000 and €95,000
