What you’ll do

As Group Product Manager Energy Trading, you play a vital and senior leadership role in Eneco’s trading organization. You are budget accountable and end-to-end responsible for setting and delivering the product development agenda across multiple cross-functional product-engineering teams. These teams are at the core of Eneco Energy Trading’s competitive edge—building the intelligence and automation behind one of Europe’s most advanced trading desks. 

You are the key counterpart to senior trading stakeholders, accountable for delivering tangible business outcomes through products that enable strategic asset optimization. Your teams develop and operate capabilities such as forecasting systems, next-generation trading applications, scalable data platforms, and advanced machine learning models—critical infrastructure for decision-making across multiple markets and timeframes. 

Is this about you?

  • You have solid product management experience, ideally in energy trading and data-intensive environments. 

  • You are fluent in forecasting, algorithmic optimization, or ML-based product development. 

  • You take extreme ownership and don’t shy away from responsibility. 

  • You combine technical fluency with a strong commercial sense. 

  • You’re confident navigating ambiguity and thrive in a high-stakes, fast-paced context. 

  • You enjoy working cross-functionally with engineering, trading, research and commercial teams. 

You’ll be responsible for

  • Lead several product engineering teams focused on trading analytics, forecasting, trading & structuring and optimization tooling.

    Build and maintain a strong collaboration within the trading floor, shaping responsibilities and teams that foster efficient collaboration and ownership. 

    • Ensure way of working is in place that matches the criticality of the landscape. 

    • Take full accountability for the delivery and performance tracking of strategic initiatives through OKRs and value driven development. 

    • Stay ahead of energy market trends and translate them into product opportunities to ensure Eneco maintains its leadership position. 

    • Leading the roadmap for forecasting and optimization tooling, working with trade, engineering and data science teams. 

    • Ensuring product quality and performance in a mission-critical environment with sub-second trading requirements. 

    • Supporting and growing the capabilities of your team and ensuring tight delivery across squads. 

    • Managing the overall product development budget, value tracking and focus on a return on investments.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €110.000 and €145.000

Including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.
