As Engineering Manager – Trade Service Integration & Development, you are responsible for the end-to-end integration and operation of trade-related services across multiple internal teams and external vendors.

You ensure that infrastructure and application support services function as one cohesive ecosystem, meeting business outcomes, SLAs, and compliance standards. From an engineering perspective, you take ownership of trade planning, business continuity, and operational excellence, while also driving technical improvements and modernisation alongside ongoing development.

You work closely with architects, platform teams, product management, and external providers to ensure Eneco’s trade services remain stable, secure, and future-ready.

What you’ll do

End-to-end service ownership

  • Own the SIAM operating model for Trade, including cross-provider SLAs, OLAs, runbooks, handovers, and escalation paths
  • Coordinate internal teams and external providers under a single, clear governance model
  • Ensure services across infrastructure and application management operate as one integrated landscape

Operational excellence & ITIL leadership

  • Lead Incident, Major Incident, Problem, and Change processes in line with ITIL practices
  • Trigger and manage Major Incident processes, including stakeholder communications and escalations
  • Ensure consistent ways of working across Trade colour teams (DevOps, QA, environments, security compliance, release management)

Service governance & transparency

  • Maintain ServiceNow as the system of record for Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB
  • Ensure CMDB accuracy and CSDM alignment; drive remediation of data quality gaps and audit actions
  • Run weekly Operations Reviews and monthly Vendor Performance Reviews
  • Maintain a Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) backlog and track progress

Vendor & commercial management

  • Manage and govern external providers delivering Trade services
  • Translate business outcomes into measurable service targets and negotiate improvements
  • Manage vendor contracts for Trade systems (e.g. Volue, Bofit)
  • Recommend contractual remedies and scope adjustments based on performance data

Engineering leadership & strategic alignment

  • Align with Product Management on OKRs, feasibility, and capacity planning
  • Partner with the platform team and CMC on lifecycle management, monitoring, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Take ownership of Trade-wide technical initiatives (e.g. Dynatrace)
  • Represent engineering for Trade colour teams to senior stakeholders

Is this about you?

Experience & background

  • 8–10+ years of experience in IT operations or service delivery within complex, multi-vendor environments
  • Proven leadership in SIAM-based models
  • Strong experience in trade, financial systems, or other mission-critical domains is an advantage

Skills & expertise

  • Vendor governance, contract management, and SLA/OLA management
  • Leadership of Incident, Problem, and Change processes
  • Strong stakeholder communication and reporting skills
  • Data stewardship and service performance analytics
  • Ability to balance operational stability with technical improvement and modernisation

Certifications & knowledge

  • ITIL 4 certification (Managing Professional preferred)
  • SIAM Foundation or Professional certification
  • Practical experience with ServiceNow and familiarity with CSDM

You’ll be responsible for

You operate at the intersection of engineering, operations, and governance, working closely with:

  • Trade application and platform teams
  • SIAM, security, audit, and data owners
  • External managed service providers (service desk, NOC, TAM teams)

You lead through influence, structure, and clarity, enabling teams and partners to deliver reliably in a complex, high-availability environment.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €95.000 and €140.000

Hybrid working: home, office or abroad

Work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
