What you’ll do

As a Coordinator Trade Operations, you will support the daily operations of the dispatching team responsible for managing Eneco’s energy and gas flows. You act as the bridge between the 24/7 dispatching team and the broader organization, ensuring that processes run smoothly and issues are resolved effectively. You will take ownership of issues during office hours and improvements that follow from incidents, allowing dispatchers to stay focused on real-time operations. At the same time, you will identify structural improvements, analyze incidents and implement changes that enhance efficiency and reliability.You are involved in project realization, implementation and portfolio growth in order to ensure that these are ready for Dispatching operations.This role requires you to balance operational involvement with longer-term improvements. You will work closely with traders, dispatchers, tech teams, contract managers and external stakeholders such as asset partners and TSO’s.

Is this about you?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level thinking, preferably in a technical or operational field;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an operational or technical environment;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders;
  • Decisive, stress-resistant and able to perform in a dynamic environment;
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility;
  • Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and good command of English;
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call duties;
  • Positive mindset and able to challenge organizations;
  • Aims for and works towards high quality data-driven operations.

Nice to have

  • Experience within the energy sector or energy trading environments;
  • Exposure to operational organizations with physical assets (e.g. utilities, oil & gas);
  • A track record in process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Familiarity with KPI development and operational reporting;

You’ll be responsible for

  • Supporting the 24/7 international dispatching operation within the trading domain (NL, BE, DE and UK);
  • Acting as a key point of contact and sparring partner for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Guiding dispatchers on content, decision making and priorities;
  • Handling operational issues and ensuring proper follow-up and resolution;
  • Delivering accurate and timely day and month reporting for the dispatching team;
  • Identifying, analyzing and implementing process improvements, including root cause analyses after incidents;
  • Participating in on-call duties to support dispatchers outside office hours;
  • Maintaining KPI structures and reporting while improving operational performance of all Dispatching processes;
  • Prioritize improvements and solve process issues;
  • Creating and maintaining instructions and ensure process compliance.
  • Ensuring that changes and innovations from other teams align with operational execution and are dispatching proof.

 

This is where you’ll work

You will join the Dispatching team within Eneco Trade Community. The team consists of 8 dispatchers working in a 24/7 shift system and 2 coordinators working during office hours. Due to portfolio growth, additional responsibilities and increased complexity, a third coordinator is needed. The coordinators support the dispatchers and focus on reporting, issue resolution and continuous improvement. The team operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where collaboration and ownership are key.

The team is used to change and values people who can adapt quickly and contribute proactively.You will work in a hybrid setup, with flexibility to work partly from home. On-call duties can also be performed remotely.

Hybrid working: home, office or abroad

Work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
