Within our Software Engineering domain, teams build the platforms and systems that make the energy transition possible, from smart energy management solutions to the infrastructure behind our customer products. As Senior Recruiter for Software Engineering, you make sure those teams can grow with the right people.
You are responsible for the full recruitment process within the Software Engineering domain. That means more than filling vacancies. You think ahead with engineering managers and tech leads about current and future hiring needs, advise on recruitment approaches and actively build a strong candidate network.
The profiles you recruit are varied: from backend and frontend engineers to platform engineers, DevOps specialists and engineering managers. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, while keeping your recruitment metrics up to date and procedures on track.
You know how to find scarce technical profiles and understand what motivates engineers to make a move. You take initiative, work well with technical stakeholders and can bring them along based on data and labour market insight.
In addition:
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a recruiter, preferably with a focus on Software Engineering or Tech
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• You have a proven track record sourcing and selecting engineers
• You are confident in direct search and Boolean sourcing and actively build talent pipelines
• You have an energetic, hands-on working style
• Experience at a tech company, scale-up or in a corporate tech environment is a plus
• You embrace change, work comfortably with data and are open to using AI in your recruitment process
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
• You are structured and precise, even when multiple things are running at once
• Regular alignment with engineering managers and tech leads on staffing needs, forecasts and open procedures
• Delivering a strong candidate experience: proactive communication and high-quality interviews
• Advising on recruitment strategies for scarce Software Engineering profiles, both when asked and proactively
• Sourcing and selecting via direct search, Boolean sourcing, campaigns or a combination
• Staying current on the Software Engineering talent market and bringing those insights into the team
• Building internal and external networks within the Software Engineering community
In the Tech cluster, you will work closely with other Senior Tech Recruiters, each with their own area of expertise, including Data, Product, and Enterprise IT, alongside the Lead Recruiter and Office Assistant.
The Tech cluster is part of a scalable recruitment team that combines hiring, contingent staffing, and employer branding. The team consists of a Talent Acquisition Lead, eight Corporate Recruiters (also focused on contingent hiring), and three Recruitment Assistants. We are a diverse and engaged team that works in a result-oriented way and continuously looks for smarter ways of working.
