Why choose Eneco?

We want to accelerate the energy transition. With our ambitious ‘One Planet plan’, we have made it clear that by 2035, we aim to be the first energy company to become CO2-neutral. No more reliance on fossil fuels! The entire Netherlands is making the switch. Towards smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable energy. Everyone has their own reasons for doing so. Some want to contribute to a better climate, others switch because their neighbors are doing it, or because they find joy in saving energy, and we're doing it now!

At Eneco, we want to help everyone to take the next sustainable step. And we are looking for the best people who can make that possible. People who are enthusiastic about our mission of 'sustainable energy for everyone' and who want to further develop their talents at Eneco. We want everyone to be able to participate effortlessly, but consciously too, in the energy transition. This can only happen if we better assist our customers, remove barriers for them to become more sustainable by listening and understanding their true needs.

Digital innovations help with every step of this journey. Our Tech department therefore works to accelerate the development of such innovations.  And data is crucial for that. By joining our data team you'll directly contribute to Eneco's digital innovations that help us work towards a more sustainable future.

What you’ll do

We're seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join the Data Analytics team within our Tech department. You will be working closely with a cross-functional product team, called New Propositions. New Propositions is responsible for developing and scaling innovative energy products such as dynamic and Time of use (Voordeelmomenten) contracts.
The team’s mission is to discover new propositions and demonstrate problem-solution and product–market fit for new contract types while ensuring that operational systems, including billing, pricing engines, and digital platforms, remain
stable as volumes grow.

To achieve this, New Propositions requires data-driven insight across two dimensions:

  1. Commercial performance; Are customers adopting the products, and do the propositions meet their needs?

  1. Operational performance; Are the underlying processes and systems stable, accurate, and scalable?

What kind of work can you expect in this team?

  • Exploring insights that help us develop or update new types of propositions we can offer to our customers

  • Monitoring the performance of these propositions

  • Building strategic and tactical dashboards that help steer Product Managers

  • Running A/B tests in our sales funnels for these products or within our app

  • Exploring “what if” scenarios, for example using back-of-the-envelope calculations or simulations

Is this about you?

You like to help the product team make the right decisions using data driven insights. Whether that's a simple visualization, analysis, report, dashboard or predictive model. You like to deep dive into an analysis but are also up for a strategic conversation with your business stakeholders about high level objectives and KPIs.

While you are a team player, it is also essential that you have a high degree of independence in your work. You have a strong pro-active mindset and are curious to learn more, both about the industry and the field of analytics.

Additionally, you have:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher with a strong quantitative focus

  • 5+ years of work experience as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Analytics Engineer or any other similar role

  • Experience in SQL, DBT, and Python for analytical purposes, preferably in a cloud environment such as Databricks and Snowflake

  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding, preferably in Power BI

  • Experience in running A/B tests on web and app

  • Excellent business communication skills and are good at stakeholder management

You’ll be responsible for

  • Having a deep understanding of the business and steering your product team in building data products

  • Guiding your stakeholders in problem definition, prioritization and success measurement, such as OKRs and KPIs

  • Hands-on data work, such as building pipelines to transform raw data into business logic, exploratory data analysis, creating reports and dashboards, and building statistical models

  • Designing, conducting and evaluating A/B tests to help the business make data driven decisions and encouraging the use of experimentation throughout the organization

  • Communicating findings in an easy-to-understand way using storytelling and data visualization to help business stakeholders make better decisions

This is where you’ll work

You will be a part of the Data Analytics team in our Tech department, a very international and inclusive environment. Your manager and team are there to help you thrive and grow in your work as an analyst. We inspire each other by sharing our work and the latest developments in the field of data, for example in our bi-weekly Data and Technology Lunches or quarterly Innovation Days.

Your work will center around the valuestream New Propositions in our B2C valuechain. This team is responsible for developing new types of energy contract propositions, such as Dynamic Pricing and Time of Use (Voordeelmomenten). Your day-to-day activities will be mostly with this product team.
