What you’ll do

As a QA Engineer, your key role will involve using solid Quality Engineering practices in line with established best practices, principles, and standards. Your focus will be on test automation using Maestro for mobile, Playwright with TypeScript for web, and Rest Assured or pytest for service and API testing. You will also work with performance testing tools like JMeter when needed. You will be responsible for identifying and reducing product risks and understanding how different systems affect each other throughout the product lifecycle within and across product teams. In this role, you will look for connections across teams, support clear communication, and act as a technical advisor for engineering, product, and other business stakeholders. This position plays an important part in improving quality processes and finding practical efficiencies across the delivery flow. Your key focus will be to support our shift left approach where QA is involved from the beginning and to steadily improve our automation coverage through Azure DevOps and Git.

Is this about you?

  • Programming skills in TypeScript or Python and the ability to work with object oriented concepts
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience with testing mobile native application - iOS and Android
  • Strong experience with automation testing using Playwright for web, Maestro for mobile, and API testing with Rest Assured or pytest.
  • Some knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or similar tools
  • Good understanding of agile ways of working and being part of agile teams
  • Comfortable using Git for version control and Azure DevOps for pipelines and automation
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Exposure to systems that handle large amounts of data where validation, processing and accuracy are important
  • Familiar with QA best practices like shift left testing, writing reliable automated checks, keeping tests maintainable and improving coverage over time

You’ll be responsible for

  • Drive Quality Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of QA solutions aligned with enterprise standards, including planning, estimation, and structuredexecution. 
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with developers, product owners, analysts, and architects to meet client expectations and foster teamalignment.
  • Refine Requirements & Backlogs: Break down complex requirements, define test estimates, and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Continuously Improve Processes: Participate in retrospectives and agile practices to drive efficiency and high-quality outputs.
  • Resolve Issues Proactively: Accurately log defects, support root cause analysis, and collaborate for timely resolution to minimize risk and cost.
  • Mentor & Innovate: Share knowledge, stay updated with tech trends, mentor peers, and contribute to organizational growth and culture.

This is where you’ll work

You will join B2C CX product team and collaborate with other cross-functional product teams. Your work will directly support Eneco’s customer experience and long-term sustainability goals.

Gross annual salary between €83.000 and €117.000

Hybrid working: home, office or abroad

Work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
