What you’ll do

Purpose of the Role

Eneco's B2B business runs on platforms that handle order delivery and billing at enterprise scale. These are not background systems - they are business-critical, and they are going through major transformation as part of Revolution, Eneco's large-scale IT modernisation programme.

As Delivery Lead you own both sides of that equation: keeping the lights on for today's operation while driving the change that shapes tomorrow's. You lead an internal team of around eight professionals - engineers, solution consultants, functional specialists - and manage a set of external suppliers against contract, budget, and SLA. You translate complex business requirements into clear roadmaps, hold people accountable, and build the kind of team that others want to work with.

This is a role for someone who leads by example, knows the domain deeply, and thrives when the stakes are high.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead the B2B Delivery and Billing Engineering team in the delivery of change and ongoing maintenance for business-critical platforms and solutions
  • Manage and develop an internal team of approximately 8 FTE - Engineers (Microsoft Dynamics, Data, Test Automation), Solution Consultants, and Functional Maintenance specialists, complemented by external staff
  • Build a motivated, high-performing team culture grounded in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear standards and expectations, support individual development, and create an environment where people grow

Is this about you?

You are an experienced people manager with strong hands-on technical expertise and a track record of delivering major software implementations on industry-standard platforms at enterprise scale. You know what good looks like - in a team, in a codebase, in a supplier relationship - and you are not shy about raising the bar.

You thrive in complex, high-stakes environments where operational continuity and transformation ambition must coexist. You build trust quickly with both technical teams and business stakeholders, and you lead by doing as much as by directing. If the combination of a motivated team to build, a major programme to contribute to, and a business-critical domain to run sounds like exactly the challenge you are looking for - read on.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Project Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years in a team management or lead role with direct HR responsibility for a sizeable team
  • Proven track record as a supplier and partner manager - holding third-party delivery teams accountable against performance standards
  • Background in project or programme management, working in large transformation programmes with the ability to lead workstreams and collaborate with other programme leads and stakeholders
  • Demonstrable accountability for delivering and running solutions using industry-standard platforms at enterprise scale

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of standard software packages and implementations - Microsoft Dynamics F&O experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience in the energy sector is a strong plus
  • Experience in delivery and billing processes within a large enterprise setting is a strong plus

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communicator who can bridge the gap between technical vendors and business stakeholders with confidence
  • Strong sense of ownership over platform stability, reliability, and performance
  • Practical problem-solver who addresses delivery challenges with timely, well-considered solutions while maintaining technical alignment
  • Able to build and sustain effective relationships at all levels - from engineers to senior business leaders

You’ll be responsible for

Roadmap and Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with a broad set of internal business stakeholders across B2B to understand, prioritise, and translate requirements into clear roadmaps and actionable backlogs
  • Develop and maintain the technical roadmap, standards, and best practices for the Delivery and Billing platforms in line with Enterprise Architecture
  • Act as the bridge between technical delivery and business stakeholders - translating complexity into clarity in both directions
  • Work closely with the Revolution programme team on transformation workstreams affecting the D&B domain

Platform Delivery and Operations

  • Own the delivery of change and the ongoing stability, reliability, and performance of the Delivery and Billing platforms
  • Key platform is UMAX 365 with core technologies including Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations (F&O) and CRM
  • Drive both innovation and operational efficiency - balancing transformation ambitions with the realities of running live, business-critical systems
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

Supplier and Partner Management

  • Manage a set of external suppliers and partners against contract, budget, and SLA targets
  • Hold third-party delivery teams accountable for quality, timeliness, and performance standards
  • Govern supplier relationships in a way that protects Eneco's interests while maintaining effective working partnerships
