Why choose Eneco?

At Eneco we work towards one clear goal: being fully climate-neutral, for ourselves and our customers, by 2035. That goal depends on production assets that run reliably and at peak efficiency, every hour of the day.

Your team makes that possible. You use data from our energy production assets to predict problems before they happen, to improve output and to help colleagues make faster, better decisions. You also help shape how Eneco works with data, analytics and MLOps as a whole. You do this in an engineering culture where teams own what they build, share knowledge and get room to experiment.

  • You build the technical capabilities, engineering practices and ways of working that let your team deliver at scale.
  • You strengthen the data foundations that make data products across the organisation reliable and trusted.
  • You help business and engineering teams help themselves, through self-service data and analytics.
  • You grow a culture of engineering excellence, experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

Is this about you?

  • You have a WO working and thinking level in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field, or you built the same level through experience.

  • You have delivered and scaled data, analytics or AI products that made a measurable difference to the business.
  • You have set up data platforms, governance practices and engineering standards that help teams work well at scale.
  • You can set technical direction and balance innovation with operational excellence and long-term maintainability.
  • You are strong in stakeholder management and communication, and you can bring different people around one vision and set of priorities.
  • Experience in an asset-intensive industry such as energy, industrial operations, asset management or reliability engineering is a real plus.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Databricks, Collibra and dbt is welcome, as is working with IoT and SCADA data sources.
  • At Eneco Tech, you build it, you own it. That is why Engineering Managers take part in the on-call rotation together with their team.
  • Most of all, you enjoy developing people and creating an environment where a team can do its best work.
  • Recognise yourself in most of this, but not every requirement? We'd still love to hear from you.

You’ll be responsible for

  • A high-performing, collaborative and inclusive team, where people grow, perform and stay engaged.
  • The delivery and daily operation of data, analytics, machine learning and AI products for asset performance and reliability.
  • The team's technical direction, engineering standards, solution quality and platform reliability.
  • Translating Eneco's data strategy into concrete roadmaps, delivery plans and capabilities within the Assets domain.
  • Delivery against agreed objectives, with a healthy balance between quality, speed, risk, budget and stakeholder expectations.
  • Clear metrics and operational insight, so you spot risks early and keep improving.
