What you’ll do

Most workplace architects spend their careers optimising for stability. This role asks for something rarer: the conviction to redesign how 4,000+ people across multiple countries work - and the rigour to make it last.

Is this about you?

This role suits someone who has grown past the point of needing a clear brief - who brings their own point of view on how things should work, and the credibility to get others to follow it.

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering - or equivalent experience that makes the degree irrelevant Proven scaleTrack record designing and delivering workplace solutions for 1,000+ users in enterprise environments

  • Technical depthDeep expertise in Azure, Entra ID, Intune, AVD, M365, CyberArk, JAMF, and modern workplace devices

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent (preferred, not required)

  • Able to align, explain, and influence at every level of the organisation

  • Experienced with zero-trust, modern security architecture, and governance frameworks

 

 

You’ll be responsible for

  • Defining the architectural vision

Own Eneco's modern workplace strategy end-to-end. Set the direction, write the blueprints, and balance startup agility with enterprise robustness. Transform business goals into scalable, maintainable architecture that real people can actually use.

  • Building and owning the platform

Lead delivery across Microsoft 365, Azure, AVD, Entra ID, Intune, JAMF, CyberArk, and SailPoint. Turn best-in-class tools into frictionless user experiences. Pilot emerging workplace technologies and iterate with data-driven insight.

  • Championing security as a design principle

Embed zero-trust and secure-by-design thinking into every solution from day one - not as a layer added at the end. Safeguard employee experience and critical infrastructure without creating friction that slows people down.

  • Leading through influence

Align C-level vision with front-line technical realities. Inspire internal teams, challenge suppliers to raise their game, and orchestrate complex cross-functional stakeholder ecosystems through clarity, momentum, and shared purpose.

You'll join Eneco's Tech domain at a pivotal moment in our transformation - not to support operations, but to reshape them. Based at Rotterdam HQ with flexible hybrid working, you'll blend focused in-person collaboration with the freedom to work how you work best.

Hybrid working: home, office or abroad

Work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
