Use Python, data and advanced modelling to analyse energy markets and Eneco’s portfolio
Turn complex market developments into clear insights for investment, pricing and risk decisions
Work with senior stakeholders and help shape Eneco’s strategic direction
At Eneco, we're accelerating the energy transition through our One Planet Plan, with the ambition to become climate neutral by 2035.
The energy market is changing rapidly. New technologies, evolving regulations and shifting market dynamics create both opportunities and risks. Within our Strategic Portfolio Management team, you help us understand these developments and translate them into insights that guide some of Eneco's most important strategic decisions.
As a Strategic Portfolio Analyst, your work directly impacts investment decisions, pricing strategies and portfolio risk management across the business. You combine quantitative analysis with strategic thinking and help shape the future of sustainable energy.
You'll join a highly analytical team where data, modelling and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. We use modern development methods, advanced modelling techniques and AI-supported workflows to continuously improve our insights and decision-making capabilities.
You will operate at the intersection of energy markets, data science, portfolio management and strategy.
Your work focuses on developing insights into long-term energy market developments and understanding how market, regulatory and portfolio changes affect Eneco's performance and future direction.
You will analyze complex market dynamics, develop quantitative models and support strategic decision-making across the organization. At the same time, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure your analyses lead to action.
This role combines the technical depth of a data scientist with the commercial awareness of a portfolio professional. You won't just build models. You will help decision-makers understand what the outcomes mean and how they should respond.
You're intellectually curious, highly analytical and motivated by solving complex challenges. You enjoy working with data, building models and uncovering the drivers behind market behavior.
You can communicate complex findings in a clear and convincing way and feel comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders. You take ownership, proactively identify opportunities, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where your insights make a visible impact.
You bring:
Don't meet every requirement? We'd still love to hear from you. Potential, curiosity and the willingness to learn can be just as important as experience.
You'll join our Strategic Portfolio Management team, a group of highly skilled professionals working on market analysis, portfolio modelling and strategic advisory activities across Eneco.
The team has a unique position within the organization. Rather than focusing on a single business unit, you provide an independent perspective across Eneco's entire portfolio. This allows you to work on a broad range of strategic questions and contribute directly to decisions made by senior stakeholders.
The department combines technical excellence with collaboration and continuous learning. You'll work alongside colleagues with strong quantitative backgrounds, share knowledge openly and help further develop our models, tools and ways of working.
This is an environment where initiative is valued, curiosity is encouraged and your work can make a tangible contribution to both Eneco's success and the wider energy transition.
